  • kinema (किनेमा) — a popular Nepali dish which is prepared by fermentation of soybean. Kinema is cooked and taken its soup with rice. It is very similar to the Japanese nattō. Usually prepared at home as it is difficult to find commercial Kinema.[1] The word kinema has been derived from 'kinambaa' of Limboo indigenous language of Nepal where 'Ki' means fermented and 'nambaa' means flavour.
  • Kinema Ballroom - Since 1938, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, has been home to the 'Kinema Ballroom' a ballroom/dancehall which has evolved into a famous live music performance venue and nightclub which has hosted many internationally acclaimed artistes. It is known currently as 'Velocity' [2]
